Woodchurch High School is delighted to announce that we have been awarded Investors in People (Gold Standard). This is a world-class achievement, which recognises the commitment the school has to developing and investing in its staff. This investment in turn impacts positively upon the outcomes for pupils, in terms of standards and provision.

Achieving this award puts our school in the top 3% of all organisations / institutions who have achieved any form of Investors in People recognition. To achieve Investors in People, a total of 39 standards need to be met, but for the ‘Gold Award’, this rises significantly to 165 – school achieved 170!

Woodchurch High School should be congratulated, once again, on achieving IIP status and in addition the prestigious ‘Gold’ Investors in People Award by meeting additional evidence requirements from across the framework. Woodchurch High School is an innovative and forward thinking school that demonstrated that it fully embraced new initiatives and ideas. The Head and the Senior Leadership Team were fully committed towards the development of themselves and others thereby ensuring the School’s vision for learning was part of the daily experience of its pupils. The assessors found that there was no shortage of desire for helpfulness and cooperative-working amongst the staff at Woodchurch High School.

The experience of visiting and assessing the school was most enjoyable, at times moving and ultimately very positive indeed. The assessors would also like to extend their thanks to all those who took part in the assessment process for their open and honest feedback in respect of their experience within Woodchurch High School.
