Year 7 recently spent the day involved in a School Maths Day. Pupils worked in small groups to break codes, solve mathematical puzzles and develop their personal learning and thinking skills. Pupils also had the chance to discover what happens to sound waves as they travel through the air by plotting graphs of their own recordings and making predictions from the data.
Throughout the day, pupils were given the opportunity to work with others, develop their own strategies for learning, think creatively, focus on their own strengths and practice their listening skills. By developing these skills, pupils can utilise them in future lessons, later life and eventually the workplace.
Thank you to all pupils who took part and made this a fun and exciting day.
