RE GOES TO HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY LECTURES
Year 9 recently visited the Manchester Jewish Museum to listen to the daughter of a Holocaust survivor. Pupils participated in a question and answer session which explored how Jews suffered and the persecution that they faced during the Holocaust. Our pupils engaged in all activities with great sensitivity, interest and respect. After the lecture and the question time, pupils were given the opportunity to tour the Museum to further understand how other religions explain suffering. Well done to year 9 for an excellent trip which gave pupils a greater empathy for the issues related to suffering, especially those who suffered in the Holocaust.
