Pupils said that their teachers expect the best of them. They said that standards of behaviour are high. This is because teachers manage behaviour effectively in lessons and at social times. Pupils take pride in their work.

Relationships between adults and pupils are strong. Many pupils told us that the best thing about the school is the support that they get from adults. Pupils enjoy learning at this school.

Parents and carers praised the array of wider opportunities on offer, such as sports clubs and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Pupils embrace serving the local community as young leaders. For example, they participate in charity work. At this school there is something for everyone. By the end of key stage 4, pupils, including disadvantaged pupils, achieve well across the curriculum. They are successful in many of their GCSE examinations.

Re: Options Events February 14th - 18th

Reminder to parents that option booklets and pathway information have now been sent out both electronically and by hand. Form Tutors are now collating appointments for Thursday 17th February so please return these slips promptly.

The links below will admit you to the options evening presentations that will be hosted live online over 3 evenings, Monday 14th, Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th February. The evenings will include presentations from all the subject areas listed below. The information in each presentation will detail the nature and structure of the courses, as well as highlighting the student attributes needed for each.

You are not required to watch all the presentations as your child/ward may already have strong ideas about which option choices they are considering doing, so please join the live stream at the times when the subject areas you are interested in are presenting. If you have any questions at any time, please submit them to Mrs Ward's email address Sue.ward@woodchurchhigh.com and they will be answered at the end of each subject presentation.
