Following on from their success at achieving second place at the Unilever Bright Futures event Team Biobubble entered this year’s North West Big Bang STEM event in Liverpool. Their project saw them design and produce bubblebath pods with reusable, recyclable mycelium packaging.
Their project aims to educate the public about the impact plastic is having on our environment and their product is designed to reduce plastic pollution a topic which they are all very passionate about. The student's project, enthusiasm and passion impressed a range of judges from many different industries and backgrounds. They went on to win The Knowsley Safari – Protecting the environment award.
This is a fantastic achievement and we would like to congratulate the students involved and hope to see biobubble pods on the shelves in the future.
