The Great British Spring Clean

As part of our commitment to environmental improvement and in keeping with our Green Flag, Woodchurch High School regularly takes part in litter picks in the local area.

On the morning of Friday 3rd March a group of pupils from the Eco Committee took part in the Great British Spring Clean, a national campaign to reduce litter and make the environment more pleasant. The pupils did an excellent job of cleaning up the area in the local community near the school, meeting up with pupils and staff from Foxfield at one point. The pupils collected five large bags of rubbish, and would have got a lot more if time had permitted.

The group then decided to do another litter pick at one of the subways on Friday 17th March. Again pupils collected a lot of litter, which resulted in the area being a lot tidier and more pleasant. Well done and thanks to all the pupils concerned.
