KS3 Technology club have been working hard over the last twelve weeks to create a full-size dovecote for the school farm. The boys, with the help of Mr Jones and Mr Easton, gave up many hours of their time after school (on a Friday) to develop their woodworking and teamwork skills. They have created a fantastic-looking addition to the farm that acts as a real focal point for pupils, staff and passers-by.
A pair of doves has been donated by a member of the local community and will ‘move in’ next month, it is hoped that the dovecote will house several more pairs over the next year. The doves and their new home will enhance the already established World War One Peace Garden and will act as a reminder of the importance of Peace and Compassion for many years to come.
