Mayor Visits the Schools' Reps

In October the Mayor of Wirral, Cllr Pat Hackett and his wife visited the school to talk to the schools Christian Value Representative team to talk about his special appeals. This year the special appeals are the Community Narrow Boat Trust and the Sea Cadets. Additionally he has a general fund for small gifts to charities that he visits he wishes to donate to. The pupils had the opportunity to ask th Mayor questions about his charities and why he had chosen them. They also decided in this meeting to ‘adopt’ a child to go to school and pay for tuition and food for the year, using the Wirral based international charity ‘Reaching the World’.

After the meeting closed the President and Vice President (Sadie and Ella) accompanied the Mayor and Mayoress on a tour around the school. They were very impressed with our school building, ethos, farm and most importantly, the way that the pupils conducted themselves.

We would like to thank to the Mayor and Mayoress for visiting us again and hope to see them in the future.
