We were asked to create a video about the work of our school for Rotary’s national conference which happened in Bournemouth in April. We presented about how our links with the Rotary Club of Birkenhead support the life of our school.
Working with Mr Dickenson and pupils in his Media Studies group, we put the video together (below) which was shown at the end of their national conference introduced by Richard Stilgoe.
The District Chair of Rotary emailed the school saying:
“Yesterday at the RIBI Conference the Woodchurch Academy Interact Club shared the stage with Richard Stilgoe. The presentation was introduced to Conference by the chairman and was very well received indeed. It was about the last item to be heard at Conference and was played to a full house. I am sure that everyone at Conference was impressed both with the quality of the actual presentation but also the high standards that Woodchurch sets and achieves.
Best wishes for the future and please pass on my personal thanks and congratulations to all at Woodchurch involved with the Interact Club.”
This tweet was also sent within half an hour of the conference ending. You can see our own Interact chair Scott (Year 11) on the screen, with the school in the background.
