Recently 25 year 9 pupils visited Liverpool Hope University.
The visit provided the pupils with an experience of life at university where they took part in degree taster sessions. Pupils were able to choose between Computer Science and Childhood Studies in sessions led by current degree students.
Pupils were then given a tour of the campus, and got to see the university accommodation, before enjoying a lunch provided by Hope in their university canteen!
During the afternoon, pupils took part in a quiz on university life and designed their own ‘ideal’ universities.
Before leaving the university, pupils took part in a Q&A session, which provided an understanding of the route towards higher education, and the financial support available.
Pupil feedback from the visit was very good, and has helped to inspire the pupils towards reaching their goal of higher education.
