Eco Visit by Greasby Junior School

On Tuesday 1 December Woodchurch High School was delighted to welcome the Eco group from Greasby Juniors with two members of staff, Julie Ingram and Mike Whiteley. The group was keen to find out about our environmental initiatives.

When they arrived they were welcomed to the school by Ben, Chair of our Eco group. They then listened to a wonderful song called Change Today that had been written some years ago by a pupil called Jess.

The Eco group then did a presentation about the 9 different Eco Schools themes, with a pupil taking responsibility for each topic and acting as a ‘consultant’. Following this there was time for questions, and Greasby Juniors pupils shared with us some of the exciting things that they do at their school.

After that was possibly the highlight of the visit for many of the primary pupils - a visit to the Woodchurch High School farm where Miss Hackett spoke to them about the animals and they got to meet some of them.

It was a lovely afternoon and we would be happy to welcome the Eco group or any other Greasby Juniors pupils back another time.

Congratulations go to Luke, Chloe, Emma-Jane, Ellisia, Rhys, Ben, Hannah and Ben for their excellent contributions to this event.
