A while ago Year 7 had an assembly by Katherine Culshaw from Living Streets, a charity that encourages more pupils to walk to school. During the assembly, Katherine spoke to pupils of the many benefits of walking- it s free and it helps people to stay healthy.
She launched a competition where pupils had to keep a record of how long they walked to and from school in one particular week. Form tutors, Mr Spruce and Mrs Smith collected the cards in and in another assembly some weeks later the winner was drawn. The prize was a fantastic 50 worth of Love2Shop vouchers and the photo shows the lucky winner Mollie with her prize.
Well done to everyone who walks to school. Keep it up!
