Wirral Youth Voice Conference

On Tuesday 20th October four of our pupils represented school at the Wirral Youth Voice Conference. They were the Year 9 and 10 members of School Council: Harry, Jessica, Chris and Hannah. Accompanied by Gaynor Baker Learning Mentor, the pupils spent the day at Wallasey Town Hall attending the conference which was entitled Keeping Safe . They met pupils from other schools and discussed issues with council staff and representatives of a number of local companies.

During the day, there were a range of workshops on topics such as Media Pressure, Bullying, Mate Crime, Internet Safety and Exploitation. The four pupils will shortly report back about the event to Ms Phillips and other senior staff, who will decide on any actions that school can put in place to help all pupils maximise their personal safety.
