President of Rotary Visit

Woodchurch High School welcomes the President of Rotary International Britain and Ireland.

This year has been an excellent year for our charity work pupils have really embraced the needs of others so we want to thank them for their overwhelming generosity and your support as parents are carers too. This year we have raised a record amount for charity which shows how generous our pupils and staff are.

We work closely with the Rotary Club of Birkenhead and were thrilled to welcome the new President of Rotary for Britain and Ireland on 8th July. Mr Peter Davey, the President, sat in at our review meeting for the year with the pupils, which was chaired by our outgoing chair Abbie. During this time members of the Birkenhead Rotary Club donated another Pygmy Goat to us. Mr Davey, and other invited guests found the time with our pupils really interesting and inspiring and felt that our school community did some amazing work for others. He described his visit as a real highlight in his time as President. Mrs Farrell, our school chaplain, also led us in a reflection of how our values and the Rotary s worked together.

Afterwards the Birkenhead Rotary Club toured our school farm and donated a new Pygmy Goat to us in appreciation of the work that we do in helping others.
