Staff from The Open Door Centre in Wallasey have been running Personal Wellbeing sessions with every Year 11 form. Emma London, who is an ex-pupil, and other volunteers from the centre encouraged pupils to consider mental health in general, as well as their own. They used scenarios and case studies to help identify signs of anxiety and depression, and considered stress and ways of overcoming it. The feedback from the pupils was overwhelmingly positive and they felt the sessions had helped them become more aware of the importance of positive mental health.
