32 pupils took part in a trip to New York city in October. This was to broaden pupils horizons and provide an opportunity that they may not get in the future. During the trip pupils visited the Empire state building, statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, St Pauls Church, Times Square, Wall Street, Famous restaurants such as Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock cafe and watched the Broadway show Mamma Mia .
The trip also supported work completed in Dance and Textiles classes. The textiles pupils visited the Fashion Institute of Technology museum, whilst the dance pupils took part in a 2 hour street dance workshop ran by a leading choreographer and performer in the business who has worked with the likes of Beyonce, Usher and on various Broadway shows.
All pupils behaviour was impeccable throughout the trip and were an asset to the school. Miss McNamara hopes to organise another trip to NYC for October 2016!
