Woodchurch High School are delighted to announce that they have now acquired ‘full’ Church of England status, following a lengthy consultation period and then legal process. As the school already had a formal relationship with the Church of England, through being a Trust School, and therefore this is simply a natural progression for the school.

By being a Church of England Academy, the school is now part of a wider family of schools, with which it can work with to further develop excellence, as well as share good practice. In total, over 4,000 primary and over 200 secondary schools school in England have a CofE affiliation. This is in addition to the thirteen CofE affiliated universities.

We look forward to developing our relationship further with the Church of England and the Diocese of Chester, as well as other CofE schools, both locally and regionally.
