On Friday 14 March we were delighted to host the Wirral Older People’s Parliament day on Crime and Community Safety. Around 90 people from all over Wirral attended the event which began with Ms Phillips welcoming the visitors to Woodchurch High School and Jess giving a superb rendition of ‘In these times’.
Jane Kennedy, Merseyside Police Commissioner and the Chief Constable of Merseyside both spoke and answered questions from the floor.
Year 9 Drama students performed a series of monologues they had scripted on crime-related issues such as cold calling, internet and phone scams and anti social behaviour. After each monologue questions for the floor were answered by members of the panel which included our Head Girl Lucy and Deputy Head Boy Luke.
The visitors had a great day and were extremely impressed by our school and pupils.
