On Thursday 13th February, we invited year 4’s from Prenton Primary School to take part in the first ever ‘Active Maths’ scheme. Year 9 subject ambassadors from the Maths and PE departments led this fantastic afternoon full of fun and learning. Active Maths is a scheme developed and coordinated by members of staff from the Maths and PE departments, which involves physical activity stations combined with challenging numeracy activities. Points are awarded for how well pupils do in both key areas of physical activity and maths. Pupils from Prenton Primary School thoroughly enjoyed the experience and represented their school at the highest of standards well done Prenton!
To further develop this scheme we would like to offer it to all our feeder primary schools and maintain the strong links we have.
