During the month of November, Mr. Stead offered all year 9 pupils the opportunity to take on the challenge of the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award. Completion of the award is no easy task and pupils will be expected to participate in vigorous and demanding training that will give them the skills to complete 2 expedition trips to North Wales. But also, pupils will be expected to make a difference in their local communities by completing a 3 month volunteering programme, 6 months physical activity programme and 3 month skills programme.
If you feel you are up for the challenge then make sure you attend all the arranged meetings and training sessions. If you would like any further information on the DofE programme, don t hesitate to get in touch with Mr. Stead or Mr. Heydon at Woodchurch High School.
