Woodchurch High School has always had a proud history of its charity work. This year, we are working with the Rotary Club as we have signed up to their international “Rotary Interact” programme.

Each form has appointed two charity reps which have met as year councils already. From these, pupils have nominated themselves to working with the school Rotary Interact committee where a President, Vice President and Treasurer have been selected. These pupils have also selected our new charity logo - a silver star. Look out for this symbol throughout the year.

Each year group XE and YE forms have been completing their charity events, from 7YE doing a sponsored silence for the day, 10YE doing a raffle and other forms doing classic Cake Sales.

All forms have contributed to the Harvest Bag challenge a huge thank you to all of you who sent food donations into school for this. Each form has returned a bag with donations in. The bags were donated by Asda, Woodchurch which have been really useful as it means distribution of these gifts will be easy! Staff have also donated to this by filling a wheelie bin with donations in the staff base. These gifts will be distributed to the local public and Forum Housing.

As we do our charity work, reflect on Jesus' words in Matthew 25:40:

"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
