Sharing a book can be a rewarding experience but sharing a book with your local hero is something rather remarkable... that’s what our Reading Stars Pupils thought anyway. Joss Labadie, Tranmere’s midfielder, and Adam McGurk, Tranmere’s Striker, had to tackle some tough questions as pupils chatted with them about their favourite books and authors. After reading together The Pickpockets Ghost by Catherine Fisher Adam, Joss and our reading stars took to the football pitch for an impromptu match.

Woodchurch definitely had control of the match and proved to be a winning team both on the pitch and in the classroom.

Thank you to Tranmere Rovers Football Club for such an inspirational afternoon.

Praise must also go to our Reading Stars for the dedication they have shown during the challenges which have enabled these rewards.
