Woodchurch High School has been celebrating Fair Trade Fortnight with many different activities and events.
Pupils have been learning in lessons about the importance of Fair Trade; products have been used as usual at our Breakfast Club and lunchtime meals, and a raffle was held for Fair Trade beauty products. Various groups sold cakes and biscuits they had made using Fair Trade products. Small gifts were also on sale and given as rewards in our positive behaviour system.
Year 8 took part in a Fair Trade poster competition, and produced some wonderful posters that were informative and persuasive as well as eye catching. Prizes will be awarded to the winners in assembly.
Miss Bolister is setting up a Fair Trade group of Year 8 pupils with the aim of us becoming a Fair Trade School before Christmas.
