Over the past two weeks, each Year 7 form took part in a Citizenship competition to make a banner to create awareness of the organisation ‘Stop The Traffik!’ This is a worldwide charity that campaigns against the buying and selling of human beings for exploitation. Year 7 spent breaks and lunch times making their banners, which were then judged by Mr Roberts and Ms Oldham. The standard was extremely high so it was really hard to decide, but the eventual winners were: 1st place 7YN, 2nd place 7XE and 3rd place 7YZ.
Staff from Stop the Traffik wrote : ‘The competition sounds fantastic, and I’m really glad the students got involved and engaged with it. The banners are fantastic’. Congratulations to everyone involved.
