What an outstanding evening! Thank you to the Woodchurch community for supporting our first Farm Christmas Fair. We were overwhelmed by the number of visitors despite the cold and the rain. The animals were the stars and the goats and chicks were so spoilt with all the petting and feeding. Father Christmas and his Elf loved the event so much they asked if they can come back next year!
We couldn't have done it without the army of volunteers who help out behind the scenes baking cakes, making chutney and Christmas decorations. The Young Farmers Club did a great job making Christmas table displays and plant gifts. The 'Get Cooking Group' did a fantastic stall selling hot chocolate and honey buns and the PTA's mince pies with complementary mulled wine was delicious. Mr Heydon's hot dog stall was so hot he was sold out within the first hour. If that wasn't enough the Woodchurch High School Choir sang the most lovely Christmas Carols.
Many thanks also go to our volunteers who supported the event. Jenny Pierce and Mrs Moulton's Mum who each donated a beautiful Gingerbread House for the raffle. Also, Asda, Woodchurch Road, for donating Father Christmas's gifts. Burtons, M&S, Heswall and Morrisons, New Brighton for their donations to out Christmas raffle.
