On Thursday 7 April Julie Bond from AimHigher came to school to run a workshop about the wide variety of careers in the NHS. She worked with 29 Year 10 pupils who mainly study BTEC Health and Social Care or Diploma in Society Health and Development. They traced a ‘patient journey’ from the time of an accident through to release from the hospital. Pupils took on roles, putting on the uniforms and learning about the 30 different jobs that are involved in the treatment of just one patient. Julie was extremely impressed by our pupils’ excellent attitudes and interactions.
