Sports Complex - "Sport for the Community"

The official launch of the Sports Complex took place on Thursday 2 March 2006 at 11am. Ray Stubbs, the BBC Sport TV Presenter was present to open the Complex, which was a great occasion for the school and the community.

In October 2005, Woodchurch High School Sports Complex - "Sport in the Community" opened. Both the school and the local community are very excited by the outstanding new facilities that the building has to offer. Throughout the day pupils from Woodchurch High School are benefiting from these state of the art facilities, which include a Dance Studio, Weight Training Room and large Sports Hall.

During the evenings many people from the community and beyond are utilising facilities for a variety of activities, including basketball tournaments, 5 aside football, cricket, volleyball and badminton. Below are some images of the Sports Hall in use:

• Hire of Sports Hall 1 hour (6 courts) - £45
• Hire of 5-a-side football court 1 hour - £22
• Hire of badminton single court 1 hour - £7
• Hire of fitness suite 1 hour per person - £2.50
• Hire of dance/drama studio 1 hour - £15
• Individual coaching sessions - £2.50
• Hire of any facility for commercial use - negotiable
• Personalised sessional activity - £1
